Shaped by intention

Mono Sabi is a homeware and lifestyle rooted on a simple belief: a home is shaped not by how much fills it, but by the care behind each choice.

We design essentials for everyday living—functional pieces that organise, simplify, and bring a sense of calm to the spaces they occupy. Each piece is made in-house in New Zealand, allowing us to refine every detail with consistency and attention.

We produce in limited quantities and, where possible, make to order. This considered pace helps us avoid excess as we respond to what's needed rather than producing more than necessary.

Our approach is rooted in restraint. Clean lines, softened curves, and tactile surfaces that feel natural in the hand. There is no unnecessary detail, no excess. Only considered proportions and forms that feel both sculptural and serene.

Thoughtful choices for minimal waste

We work with high-quality PLA, a bioplastic derived from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane. Strong and versatile, it allows us to create organic forms and tactile finishes all while offering a more responsible alternative to oil-based plastics.

Our production method uses only the material required, minimising waste and supporting small-batch making. Each design evolves gradually shaped through use, feedback, and careful iteration rather than mass production.

Packed simply

All orders are packed using plastic-free materials. This means packaging may show marks or signs of handling by the time it reaches you. We see this as part of reducing waste, and we hope you understand.

What matters most is that each piece arrives safely, ready to be used and lived with. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us and we'll make it right.
